I have once again photographed another home for Heath and Ball Ltd.   This property is beautiful. My favourite part is the very large yard with concord grape vines, kiwi trees, and apples trees. Don’t forget all the veggie gardens as well as the biggest blackberries I have ever seen.

Easter Seals Drop Zone

September 16, 2010

I’ve heard about the Easter Seals drop zone that takes place in Victoria for a number of years . The idea is to raise money to send kids with physical disabilities to camp. The people raising money get to rappel off the CIBC building in downtown Victoria, which is a whopping 13 stories or roughly 130 feet high.  The place I work at sponsors the event and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph this event as well as rappel off the building. When I first got to the top I was a bit weary and hands were getting all sweaty looking over the edge, but by the end of the day my fears had been conquered.

Big thanks go to everyone who raised money for this great cause, as well as the organizers, the rappelling leaders: Matt and Al, and their team, who kept everyone safe as they rappelled down the CIBC building.

As well, thanks to Terry at Loupe Imaging for setting up the templates and printing all the photos.

People were encouraged to dress up in costume. Some of the costumes included: Wonder Woman, Gene Simmons and Marty the Marmot (Salmon Kings mascot), to name a few.  The first two photos are of me.

Real Estate Photography

July 18, 2010

As most of you know I have been busy doing real estate photography. I haven’t had a chance to do a new post in a week or two, but I now have a bit of free time. Here is another house I photographed for  Heath and Ball Ltd. in Sidney.

Next week I will be away for a week of camping up at Cape Scott as well as shooting a wedding in Powell River. I’ll post all those photos when I get back.

Dockside Green

July 5, 2010

Dockside Green is a new green development in Victoria, B.C.  My friend Eileen lives there and I asked if I could photograph her home. She was more than willing and even asked her neighbour  if I could photograph her home as well. The first place I photographed was Mary’s. Thank you to Mary for letting me into her home and photograph it. She was thrilled with the results and said the photos looked much nicer than her home did in person.

Satori Strings

May 10, 2010

I got a call three weeks ago saying I was recommended by another photographer to help this string trio shoot some promotional material.  I talked to one of their members, Catheryn, and we set a date to go shoot.  We headed down to Clover Point here in Victoria on a very windy and blustery day, but with the warmth of the sun shining through the clouds. It was getting close to sunset so the light was amazing. Luckily for us we were behind a big wall so it wasn’t too cold or to windy as the girls were wearing evening gowns. Very brave. It was their first ever photo shoot.
